So you're saying you were impressed our team was sporting Wood?

Miles Wood was flying. Really liked what he showed, he played like he knew it was his last shot. Wish more people played like that.

Not sure what to make of this team. When they score, they can’t defend. When they defend, they can’t score. Their three best players are clearly Hall, Schneider and Severson, and the latter two have been a bit inconsistent lately.

For every five great plays that Severson makes, he seems to have one bonehead move that costs them. Schneider has been atypically human too.

John Moore. I’ve never seen a player that can be both the best and the worst player on the ice during the course of a given game. Sometimes over the course of a given shift. You live with the downside to get the upside, but holy crap is he a roller coaster.

I think it all comes down to Henrique and Palmieri. It is now 25% into the season, and they have not snapped out of it. I'm not sure how this team wins with Zajac and Cam leading the offensive charge. Zacha's played well enough, but I don’t see him blossoming into a star any time soon. Also, Hynes’ usage of his defensemen is tough to figure out. For this team to be successful, they need to ride Greene and Severson HARD (like 25 mins plus) and elevate Auvitu to the second pairing. The fact that Lovejoy and Moore play about as much as Greene and Severson is baffling to me.

My fear is that the Devils have yet another year of narrowly missing the playoffs, which does no one any good.

Elvis you're a smart man as I've been thinking mostly the same. Overall last nights game had it's ups (Miles Wood was phenomenal!) and it's downs (constant parade to the box for stupid penalties), but I still thought we should have won. Wood pots the penalty shot and the whole game changes. Bottom line though is we need a stud defensemen, with Moore and Merrill seeing a lot less ice time, if we're ever going to be a dominant team again

So what's your thoughts on tomorrows line up? John quenneville has been recalled to NJ and still up in the air for Taylor hall to be in a lineup.

If taylor hall is playing I'm thinking

Hall-Rico-Palms
Cammy-Zajac-Lappin
Wood-Zacha-PaP
Kalinin-Fiddler-Quenneville
Scratches:JJ,DSP

Greene-Severson
Auvitu-lovejoy
Moore-Quincey
Scratch: Merrill

I have quite a few problems with this lineup. First off, no Henrique? I get that he's slumping, but he's a big part of the team. I don't like Zacha on the 4th while Q and Blender are above him. Put him with Hall. Bastian but no McLeod?

He looked like a completely different player in the Jets game. Hopefully this is more who he is. Seemed really fast. Its a dumb cliche, but skate hard and good things happen.
